Walking around town
Bright, Bold, Flavor all around
Always a smile found
    - Cristi Indeck, Norwood
From Cristi: I am new to the area and I was out walking my children in their stroller. I was really taken by the community fell Dedham has to offer. Friendly faces smiling through the brisk autumn air. I can't wait to go walking around the square again soon.

What is Haiku?
Haiku (hi-koo) is a traditional Japanese form of poetry, most often in the form of 17 syllables, broken into 3 lines (5, 7, 5 sylables per line).

What makes a good Haiku?
A former president of the Haiku Society of America once commented that, "...near-religious reverence was bestowed on the author of (even) a 'passable' haiku." Unfortunately she followed by saying that no one knows exactly why a particular haiku is good. But that, "it's clear that the author had experienced a divine moment."
