Rules of the Haiku Review: SUBMISSIONS: Submission does not guarantee publication. Haiku Reviews are judged, based on appropriateness and according to a universally personal, Zenified criteria known only to the editors at DedhamSquare.com. FORMAT: Submissions are only accepted via the form available online at http://www.dedhamsquare.com/haiku_review. Tradition dictates a 5, 7, 5, 17 syllable Haiku format, but we understand that truly divine moments may sometimes require an extra syllable or two. WHO CAN SUBMIT A HAIKU: Open to anyone 15 or older. Business owners or their employees cannot write about their own business (or employer), but can write about any other business, event, lament, or moment, provided it relates to Dedham Square. COMPENSATION: There will be no monetary compensation, HOWEVER it’s likely that you’ll be tinged with the awe of your contemporaries and may, someday, receive total enlightenment as reward - So there’s that. ATTRIBUTES: We honor the wishes of all Haiku authors to be fully, partially, or anonymously attributed. For authors who also wish a link to their website, only links to websites you own (such as your business website) will be published. INTENT: Haiku Reviews are intended to describe your Dedham Square moment for the purposes of fun, entertainment, and the reverance of your peers. DedhamSquare.com screens all submissions for appropriateness and would not purposefully harm or slander any subject of a Haiku Review. However, any business owner, who's business is the subject of a Haiku Review and who wishes to have their review removed from the website, may e-mail us to request removal. Please provide a legitimate business phone number where we may contact you to confirm your identity. DEADLINES: There are none. A Haiku Review may be submitted any time. Submissions are reviewed as received, and all that are deemed appropriate are published approximately every week. In fact, feel free to share one right now. PRIVACY: By participating Haiku authors understand that the information gathered may be used by DedhamSquare.com for purposes including, but not limited to, development of mailing lists for its own marketing and advertising. Primary use of this information will be to send occasional notice of website updates and/or information pertaining to Dedham.
